Today we are living in uncertain times as war, natural disasters, famine, poverty and disease resource depletion, global warming, population explosion, pollution, the effects of rampant globalisation and the fear of weapons of mass destruction all take their toll on our imagination and lives. In such a world intolerance and chaos grows as religious fundamentalism on one hand and the excesses of globalisation on the other threaten basic human values.
Need For New Visions & New Solutions

These are the 21st century challenges - to have a peaceful world amidst chaos and change. Yet few governments, businesses and even NGO's are putting their minds to the solutions needed to tackle these immense problems. Often they are caught up in the frenzy of the every day as they battle for power, profit and influence. The 21st Century requires people with imagination and vision as well as determination to find solutions to our present impasse. 21st Century Network was set up to involve citizens in the discussion of the issues of the 21st century and to invite government, businesses and NGO's to take part.
