Andrew Copson is the polite, forceful and articulate advocate for the British Humanist Association's policy on education. It is a policy which he has, in no small measure, helped to formulate. Under his stewardship we are gaining an ever increasing influence with the authorities who set the framework for religious education.

The BHA has been leading the way in promoting a fully inclusive education designed to meet the needs of all. There is a considerable way still to go but if you want to know what has been achieved so far and the goals your BHA representatives are still aiming to achieve then you can't afford to miss this talk.

Do you know what the BHA is proposing for faith schools, for religious education and collective worship in schools?

Do you know why more and more children will have heard of humanism before they leave school ?

Come and discover the answers.

It will be an education. Think of the children.

I came away feeling that the BHA is in great hands with people like Andrew representing us. Carry on the good work Andrew.

Sorry, I will not be visiting UK at that time. It sounds like a great topic - I wish the meeting well.

Sorry, it clashes with Stanley Clarke at the Jazz Cafe!

Humanism is a sound start in life, but apart from fair principles it should teah self-defence from mind-control, religion-s**t, etc.

It clashes, alas, with the 21st Century meeting! Can't you change the date? Not even a 21st century humanist can be in two places at the same time!

    •  Andrew was a pleasure; he really knows his onions and is a massive asset to the BHA. I'm not sure what the proposed title would have consisted off, but I think the talk was above all informative, and I hope it encouraged some of the non-BHA members there (tut tut!) to join. I also want to apologise for the lack of a Chair person, while slightly embarrassing, these things happen and Andrew took it in his stride.
    •  Wrong title, but never mind. Would have been less good for a non-BHA speaker. Andrew was a very good speaker, all without notes. We need a back-up system as Bryan wasn't able to be around and so we floundered for a Chair. Fortunately Andrew very competently fielded questions and we finished before 8pm, but our organisation wasn't very impressive. Should have done more myself I guess. Wasn't expecting there to be steps down to the room either.
