Introduction
I'm new to Cincinnati, really enjoy the enclaves of other newcomers to the city--esp. immigrants and refugees--and imagine it would be nice to meet others who like to become friendly with various cultures.
If you could go anywhere on vacation this year, where would it be and why?
Well, I am headed to Chile for a friend's wedding in November. It will be spring there, a fabulous way to postpone the winter I think, and when I went once before I loved it. A dusty place with warm light, relaxed people, and friendly street dogs.
What is your favorite cuisine?
Japonais!
What are some of your favorite things to do?
Swim, draw, bike, read, learn languages, dance salsa, play with dogs, watch bats and birds, soak up beautiful old buildings and neighborhoods.
To which countries have you traveled in the past?
Many countries in Europe, a few in the Americas, and once to Uganda.
Which languages do you speak?
Fluent English and Italian, proficient French, competent Spanish and German, remedial Brazilian Portuguese.
